The Bottom Glass Galleon

December 20th, 2007

I know, I know. I haven’t updated the blog for a very long time. But I promise I’ve doing things for the game and that the whole project is still in development. Lot of things have happens since my last post. The game won a special mention award in the “Art Futura” contest, the music of the game is completely finished, and I have to draw only one background in order to finish all the graphic staff, because the people of Devilish Games have already finished every animation of the game.

So, will be more a matter of programming than other thing. The programmer is now really busy with his work (remember that we use our free time in order to develop this game) so he is working a bit slowly, but I hope that everything will go well and that we will finish the game in less than… who knows?

I’m also thinking in stopping writing in English and starting writing in my own language, Spanish. I’m quite bad at this language and I’m not sure I have any English/American reader. Are there any?

I let you with one background that will be funny to play: “The Bottom Glass Galleon”

Interrail 2005: North Trip (1/8)

March 31st, 2007

Long time without writing anything in “Travels!” section. It’s not than I’m not travelling… It’s that’s I’m travelling so much I don’t have time for posting! :)

I’m going to upload some photos of my trips, starting for the old ones, so let’s begin for that great Interrail (a ticket that allow you to get all the trains you want in some areas of Europe) I made with my friends Tono, Emilio, Jesús, Beni and Colson.

So, once upon a time…

… two friends started the beginning of a summer Interrail travel. My friend Kisus and me started in my city (Murcia, Spain) and we took a flight to Munich. Later we visited Germany, Denmark, Austria, Swiss and France. We visited Hamburgo, Berlin, Copenague, Viena, Salzburgo, Zurich, Berna, Geneve y Lyon.

Erasmus in Poland: The exchange student

September 3rd, 2006

I’m just getting ready for going to Poland september 22th for Erasmus, its incredible, finally I’m going! For one year! Poland is going to burn!

For those who don’t know Erasmus is a exchange program for European students. So you go to other country to “study” and to improve your skills in the language. They give you a ridiculous scholarship and of course the validation (if you are lucky) of the subject you pass.

The better thing of Erasmus of course, are the parties :) . Maybe you will hear some people saying that are going to study… they lie! (but I’m going to study don’t think bad of me). Erasmus is one year unique in your life, something that will never repeat again. There is no one night there isn’t and insane party and you meet lot of people of all Europe! And sometimes also from other countries that are farther because there are different exchange programs but the students go to the same parties.

But you will say: how do you know all this things if you haven’t gone yet to make your Erasmus? Well, I can say that I have made and Erasmus in my own city this year! :D . In fact, in each city that there are Erasmus, there are also associations than help them, and I am a member of the one of my city. (Murcia, Spain).

In September of the last year, after the euro-trip I made doing interrail, I was really interested in meeting people of other countries, because its something really interesting to know other cultures, languages, different ideas and of course… parties! To know people of other countries is like travelling without moving!

And so, this September (2005), I met some Erasmus just in the street. Like all the Erasmus when they arrive they were a bit lost and really interested in meeting people of the country. We started to make some parties together and really quickly I met lot of Erasmus people (there are a lot! :D ).

Some days after, I met in a party one boy that was a member of the ESN (Erasmus student network) and two friends and me enrolled quickly in the associations. And its great to be one of the members because you can do lot of parties, to meet lot of people, to make trips, etc. Of course you have to do things for helping the Erasmus (like to prepare all this travels, activities and parties I talked about) but are really funny things in fact.

So, I’m really happy because I’m going to make an Erasmus myself, you only have to see a film like L’Auberge espagnole for realizing that has to be something really interesting.

I’m studying computer engineering and I’m going to Lodz (Poland). In other post I will tell you why I’m going to this city and what I know about it.

I let you with two funny things

The first thing…

Is this adventure game much like Sam and Max, Telltale’s Bone adventures and Monkey Island. In it, you assume the role of a twenty-two year old Italian Casanova using a student exchange program as a cover for attempting to bed hot Swedish girls (I think he doesnt study a lot). If you’re thinking Leisure Suit Larry, then you’re partly right. But it makes me remember more other Spanish game I played lot of years ago Igor Objetivo : Uikokahonia (I’m sorry I dont know the name in english). Click on the photo for going to the official website:

Blanck and white

The second thing…

Is this video (I’m sorry is in Spanish) about Erasmus. I have cried from laughing with it.

My short film: “La Última Puerta”

August 31st, 2006

This is a short film I directed some years ago. The characters are my friends Tono and Pilar. It was really funny to film it.

Hello world!

January 1st, 2006

Happy New Year from IndieRover!

This is the perfect day for starting a new blog, 1th of January. A day in which my head is like going to explode and I’m as thirsty as a dromedary. This thing my body is experiment is called in Spanish “resaca” (hangover). And is killing me.

Yes, I’m Spanish.

Why the hell are you writing in English then? - You can think.

Well, this is like a personal experiment, like in fact every blog on Internet. So, please be permissive with my bad English, that is quite awful. I hope Shakespeare will not resurrect and kill me for destroying his language.

And about what if I can ask is your blog? - You will think.

Well this blog will be about lot of things. But all of them related with Indie Game Life.

Yes, I’m and Indie Game developer, and I’m very proud of it!

But this blog will not be the typical blog of typical indie game development. No! There are already lot of places like this. This blog wants to be more than this. This Purple-Tentacle-Blog wants to conquer the world!

What my crazy brain wants is to mix some of my personal adventures, misfortunes, travels and projects… all together, inside this blog, and all of them from the vision of and indie game developer who likes to walk the world.

So you will read about some of my personal strange experiences, I hope the funnier ones: trips, savage parties, weird plans, night adventures… but also you will find here articles about designing, programming, art, games… when my hangover will let me to write something, of course.

So, that is. Happy 2006 and enjoy with my blog!
